Written by LIQID

I am starting to put together a php API to access the Google Maps API.

Along the way I am going to be keeping a log of all the features that I am adding. If there are any developers out there that would like to contribute information or feature requests feel free to contact me.

UPDATE: Check out the package on source forge. phpGoogleMaps

php google mapsGoogle Maps API in PHPMy intentions are to create a feature rich API that will allow a user to implement the maps api without having to do any javascript coding. I am not sure yet if thats going to be possible.

This package is very large in scale. There are lot of smaller pieces that have to be accomplished for the product to be constructed completely. Its not a simple drag and drop in application. You need things like latitude and longitude and if you want to have fancy icons then you will have to define and create them to make sure that they render properly.

I will start to keep a log of examples that I put together as well while I am testing so that I can include them in the documentation.

I only have until the end of the month to get something set up for my client so hopefully I will have an extensible package in its adolescence.

Stay tuned for more great things to come. -LIQID
